Coronavirus oltre 370 fiere posticipate o cancellate

La diffusione del coronavirus non riguarda solo il programma fieristico Italiano, ma interessa l’industria delle fiere in tutto il mondo. Con l’idea di poter dare una panoramica più precisa di quanto il settore delle fiere sia coinvolto, abbiamo analizzato la situazione, prendendo come fonte la rivista tedesca “m+a”, che raccoglie il database di fiere più grande ed aggiornato al mondo.

Di seguito è riportata la lista completa delle cancellazioni e spostamenti di date, così come catalogata da m+a al 28 febbraio 2020. Essa contiene 374 manifestazioni tra cancellate o posticipate.

In Europa sono 91, oltre all'Italia, 18 sono in Germania, 10 in Svizzera, 2 in Spagna ed 1 in Francia. 

La situazione in Asia vede attualmente posticipate o cancellate 232 fiere, di queste 123 in Cina, 23 in Giappone, 18 a Singapore, 16 in Korea del Sud e 12 a Hong Kong. Le città più coinvolte sono Shanghai con 48 fiere, 22 a Guangzhou, 20 Beijing, Singapore con 18 e Tokyo con 14.

Quali saranno le conseguenze per il settore non è ancora possibile calcolarlo, spiega Enrico Gallorini CEO di GRS Research & Strategy (www.grsnet.it) società punto di riferimento internazionale per l’industria delle fiere. "Indubbiamente l’impatto sugli organizzatori sarà molto forte, ma molto più importante sarà l’impatto sull'intero ecosistema che ruota attorno alle fiere (allestitori, fornitori, stakeholder, città ecc). Senza poi considerare l'impatto che avrà sui tantissimi espositori e buyer l’assenza di questo canale fondamentale per intere industrie."

“L’industria delle fiere è uno dei cardini del commercio mondiale ed è necessario comprendere la portata di questa situazione contestualizzando meglio cosa sono le fiere”… spiega Gallorini “le fiere sono dei veri e propri eventi collettivi, che riuniscono una specifica nicchia di mercato in un momento e luogo preciso, e ne costituiscono lo snodo principale di business, ma anche di innovazione e sviluppo”.

A livello mondiale sono circa 30.000 le fiere censite, che coinvolgono 303 milioni di visitatori all'anno, coinvolgendo oltre 5 milioni di espositori, e costituiscono una base fondamentale di business per intere economie.

Entrando nello specifico della situazione italiana, che si caratterizza nella sua peculiarità di aziende mediamente piccole o piccolissime, l’impatto di questi slittamenti e cancellazioni sarà ancora più dirompente, essendo le fiere quasi esclusivamente il canale principale per intere filiere in cui il “Made in Italy” continua ad essere un punto di riferimento globale.

Mai come in questo momento storico, l’intera industria delle fiere dovrà essere capace di unire le forze, con l’obiettivo di far al più presto ripartire l’economia mondiale.
